How Anxiety & Depression Counseling Works…

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, known as CBT, is an evidence-based practice that focuses on how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected to each other. The basic idea is that by identifying our negative or unhelpful thought patterns and changing them, we can change how we feel and/or act.

For anxiety, CBT focuses on recognizing and confronting irrational fears, to decrease avoidant behaviors and teach new ways of thinking to handle anxiety-provoking situations.

For depression, CBT helps with breaking the cycle of negative thinking, inactivity, and hopelessness by challenging unhelpful thoughts and encouraging more positive actions and perspectives.

CBT is a practical and solution focused approach in which you will learn coping strategies, such as: relaxation techniques, mindfulness, and problem-solving, to manage emotions better, feel empowered, and be more present.

Imagine…

  • Being able to manage your emotions and feeling calm, peaceful, and able to enjoy your life.

  • Waking up feeling empowered and confident in your ability to cope with the challenges of the day.

  • Being able to be present and have fulfilling relationships.

  • Feeling excited about the possibilities.
